Kayak and SUP Camp

Our Kayak and Stand Up Paddle Camps focus on the educational discovery of our inland bays and estuaries.

Over two days, from 9am-1pm, we join in safe and fun exercises in and around the water complete with crabbing and clamming expeditions. The first day we learn the different parts of the kayak, how to maneuver the boat through the water, what to do if we fall out, and how to get back in. The second day we incorporate the skills we have learned in a mini expedition to a sandy beach on the other side of pasture point. Here we embark on a near coastal scavenger hunt and water relay races. At the end of both days we take a walk through the trails of the James Farm and enjoy heavy hydrating snacks. At the end of day two, all participants receive an accomplishment certificate and visor!
